Midfield playmaker who hails from Wolverhampton but has been with the club since he was a schoolboy, before turning professional in January 2001. Made his first team debut in October 2001 when coming on as a substitute in a 1-0 defeat at Coventry City and made 25 appearances in his first season, most of those coming from the bench. His first goal also came that season as he tried to break back into the first team but enjoyed loan spells with both Scarborough and Bournemouth that season.
Rix has resurrected his career at Crewe and even captained the side on occasions. As a regular in the Alex midfield, Rix scored two goals against Brentford and Doncaster during the 2006/2007 season, but more importantly made 39 appearances in all competitions.
In the 2007/2008 season, despite some impressive performances and being a regular in the side Rix needed an operation on his hip in February 2008 that required a stint on the sidelines until the close season.
