Matt Lund

Position: Midfielder

Born: Manchester

DOB: 21/11/1990

Matt has been with the club since he was 10 years old and is a strong, all action midfield player that can cover the whole field. Featured all of the 2006/2007 season in the under 16's with a taster of the under 18's team towards the end of the season. Was regularly involved in the 07/08 season, and was in on the goal action too.

Danny Shelley

Position: Defender

Born: Stoke-on-Trent

DOB: 29/12/1990

Joined the club when he was 14 and is a quick right sided player with some good physical attributes and a good sense of attacking. With good temperament and good ability, a back injury in the 2006/2007 season slowed down his summer progress but is now on the way back to full fitness. Did not feature during the 07/08 season through injury, but is fighting for a place for the new campaign.

Michael Jackson

Position: Defender

Born: Manchester

DOB: 02/09/1990

A full back who has progressed through the academy having been with the club since the age of 6/7. A good technical footballer who can also feature in midfield, he is a two footed player who is willing to learn and expand.

Charlie Ager

Position: Defender

Born: Liverpool

DOB: 15/08/1991

Charlie has been with the club since a young age and is a competitive and strong midfielder. He has a good engine that makes him a good running player that can also feature in defence. Made a number of substitute appearances for the under 18's side in the 2006/2007 ahead of his time. Had a good 07/08 season with a string of good performances under his belt.

Theo Stair

Position: Striker

Born: Stoke-on-Trent

DOB: 01/08/1991

A very talented player who first came to the club at the early age of 6/7. Theo is predominantly a left footed player, but one who has a good range of skills and is a good attacker. Didn't have too much involvement in the 07/08 season due to injury but is fit to reclaim his place for the new campaign.

Matt Tootle

Position: Versatile

Born: Widnes

DOB: 11/10/1990

Having joined the club at 12, Matthew progressed through to be offered his two-year scholarship at the end of the 2006/2007 season. He is a very versatile player being able to feature in a number of positions from midfield to full-back. He is another two-footed player with good ability and talent. Featured mostly in the under 16's in the 2006/2007 season but had a number of appearances for the under 18's towards the end of the season. Was regularly involved in the 07/08 season, playing his role in defence and providing some goal scoring crosses.

Ben Marshall

Position: Striker

Born: Manchester

DOB: 29/09/1991

Ben joined the club from Manchester United when he was 13 and is a very attack minded player. Although he mainly plays in a striker position he can also feature in midfield due to his ability and talent. During the 07/08 season, Ben was involved in midfield and upfront when required and gained a regular place in the side.

Alex Titchener

Position: Striker

Born: North Wales

DOB: 13/06/1991

Born in North Wales, Alex is a striker who joined the club when he was 14 and is a player who can create real problems for any defender with his high work rate. A player who never stops running Alex is a good goalscorer that knows how to take a goal. Had a restricted 07/08 season due to the strikers in the under 18's side last campaign, but was regularly on target whenever involved. Will be pushing for some even more regular involvement this term.

Daniel Platt

Position: Goalkeeper

Born: Kidderminster

DOB: 05/09/1991

Daniel arrived at the club last season, and featured a lot of the under 18's at the back end of the campaign. He has a good temperament and good hands and is also s good communicator with a good influence on the team from the back.

Joe O'Sullivan

Position: Midfielder

Born: Northwich

DOB: 06/01/1992

Joe came as an under 12 and is a talented midfielder who can take a goal. He is good technically and has a good range of passing.

Chris Rowntree

Position: Midfielder

Born: Chester

DOB: 01/12/1991

Chris came to the Alex as an under seven. He is a midfield player with a competitive steak and has a good ability on the ball and a decent stamina that allows him to race up and down the field.

Matt Freeman

Position: Striker

Born: Alsager

DOB: 30/07/1991

Matt arrived as an under 16, in the later stages of last season and is a quick winger with a decent one-on-one record as he knows how to get around his man. He also has an excellent delivery on crosses.

Chris Peel

Position: Versatile

Born: Wem

DOB: 21/09/1991

Chris has been with the club since he was under 7 and is a left footed player that is versatile. He is yet to stake a place on a particular position, he played as a centre forward for the under 16's last season. A decent athlete with a good left foot.

Cheyenne Dunkley

Position: Defender

Born: Wolverhampton

DOB: 13/02/1992

Been with the club since he was under 14, Cheyenne is a centre half with a good height and physical attribute. He also has good temperament for a defender and is good with the ball.

Jon Stephens

Position: Striker

Born: Birmingham

DOB: 06/11/1991

Jon joined the club as an under 14 and is a centre forward attacking player that can play either on the wing or through the middle. He has some good pace and can score a goal with either foot.

Lewis Davenport

Position: Striker

Born: Chester

DOB: 29/09/1991

Lewis has been with the club since playing with the under sevens and is an attacking player on the left side or a centre forward.

Harry Davis

Position: Defender

Born: Nantwich

DOB: 13/06/1991

A centre half who again joined as an under seven. Harry has a good height and a good air presence and is good with the ball. He also has a good reading of the game.
